Strengthening and Lining to Drain Pipes for KCRC / Sino Ho Tung Lau Residential Development Project with the TYFO® Fibrwrap® System

Ho Tung Lau was a residential development project in Hong Kong developed jointly by KCRC and Sino Land. A series of drain pipes belonging to the Drainage Services Department run underneath the development. These old pipes showed signs of age and distress, and an easy and effective means to restore and strengthen them were needed. The client and main contractor, China State Construction Ltd, selected the TYFO® Fibrwrap® Composite System for strengthening to the pipes during construction as well as to serve as a permanent lining to stop further deterioration of the pipes.
The scope of works included the following:
• Diversions of drains and sewers
.• Performance of CCTV surveys.
• The installation of the TYFO® Fibrwrap® Composite System to the concrete drain pipes.
