Column Strengthening to New Twin Galaxy Apartment with TYFO® Fibrwrap® System

Columns at a new residential development under construction, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, were in need of strengthening at the basement carpark due to a construction error.
A proposed TYFO® System retrofit to enhance the capacity of the columns was adopted by the consultant and main contractor as the most cost effective and efficient solution to rectify the columns and allow for the continued progress of the construction works at the floors above.
The work was carried out to completion for 35 columns using our Tyfo® Fibrwrap® System in time to meet the contractor’s overall progress schedule.
